Each year, over 500,000 young Canadians participate in project-based science; the science fair winners from all regions of Canada are invited to the Canada Wide Science Fair (CWSF) which will be held this year in Ottawa (May 10-18). As many as 500 young budding scientists (grades 7 to 12) will be presenting their research projects to the public and to judges as they compete for well over $360,000 in prizes.
Volunteering as a judge will involve participating in a training session during the late afternoon of May 12 and serving as a judge for one or two days (May 13 and/or 14). A banquet will be provided for judges on the evening of the 14th.
What are the qualifications to be a judge at the CWSF2008?
- Bachelor degree equivalent (all academic background)
- To be dedicated to youth

Tuesday May 13 - Divisional Judging
Wednesday May 14 – Interdisciplinary Judging
